Remembering Greg
Arthur Gregory Braswell, an accomplished businessman, craftsman, builder and life-long resident of Atlanta, Georgia, died unexpectedly on December 3, 2015 at the age of 53.
Greg was preceded in death by his brother Matthew Shane Barbaric. He is survived by his parents A. J. and Phyllis Braswell, and Patricia and Charles Hyatt, his sister Lynn Jones and her husband Ian Jones, sister Angi Sheldon and her husband Ben Sheldon, his brother Tony Braswell and his husband Jay Werner, his grandmother Elizabeth Graham, his aunts Sue Fortner, Kim Colley and Pam Koldziej, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Greg was born on November 8, 1962 in Atlanta. He graduated from Mt. Vernon Christian School and attended Georgia Southern University. During his career he worked for the Atlanta Postal Credit Union, Lee Friend Tree Services and most recently worked with Hunter Construction Company. Greg raised Pit Bull Terriers and showed them professionally. His last dog Miss Priss was a grand champion in her breed. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman, and was a strong advocate for responsible animal care.
He is also survived by many life-long friends. He will be missed by his family and everyone whose life he touched. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. December 19 at the Friendship United Methodist Church, 3027 Tobacco Road, in Hephzibah, Georgia.
